Historic 5th Avenue is a location in Delray, Florida. After spending a full day at the Smithsonian Institute Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C. the artist came home to South Florida and saw an outside concert on Historic 5th Avenue in Delray. A center for the black community of Delray. Using the ethnic characters from the museum motivated by the pulsating music the master drawing for this painting was developed.
