Diego Rivera (Guanajuato, Mexico, December 8, 1886-Mexico City, id., November 24, 1957) 3 was a prominent Mexican muralist of communist ideology, famous for capturing works of high political and social content in public buildings. He was the creator of various murals in different parts of the now called Historic Center of Mexico City, as well as in the National School of Agriculture of Chapingo, 4 and in other Mexican cities (Cuernavaca and Acapulco), North American and South American (Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Detroit and New York).
