Still life with Basket of Apples
According to all art historians, seven paintings from 1906 have been destroyed by Braque, making this still life especially rare. The work by its composition is influenced - tribute to Cézanne (basket and apples) which has been a critical influence on Braque's artistic development after seeing at the Salon a large amount of his works the same year.
